Maggie was one of our fantastic volunteers and friend who we sadly lost at the start of this year. A lot of visitors will recognise Maggie. We will be closed on Saturday 6 June to attend a memorial for a wonderful lady.

Maggie’s journey at Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre is a powerful reminder of how movement, community and connection can transform lives.

From taking her very first step on a health and wellbeing programme to becoming a much-loved part of our Aqua Aerobics community, Maggie inspired everyone around her with her kindness, positivity, and determination.

Her legacy lives on in the friendships she built and the people she encouraged along the way.

Pittenweem tidal pool - research study - 3-5 mins of your time requested!
Seeking local voices: Pittenweem Tidal Pool Study 🌊(Admin: Please delete if not allowed, but I’m a local student and fellow user of the tidal pools hoping to hear from other users of the tidal pool!)

Hi everyone! I’m an Open University student currently conducting a small environmental science project on Pittenweem Tidal Pool. I’m seeking detailed reflections from anyone who uses or visits the pool.

I’m interested in your thoughts on how the pool impacts your visits to the coast and your feelings of connection to the environment. Whether it's a specific memory or just a general reflection, your depth of answer is incredibly valuable for my research. The survey is completely anonymous and takes about 3–5 minutes. Thanks to Mike Wallace for sending us this fpotage of the crazy golf. As a charity we have volunteers who run the crazy golf and refreshment hut during the year to maintain the outdoor pool - including paying for the lease and insurance as well as any repairs.
