We had a great meeting with Faye from the Missing Lynx Project tonight. Fill in their survey to give your thoughts on lynx reintroduction to help this project happen!

"It's very difficult for nature to function with lots of pieces missing."

Northumberland Wildlife Trust's Duncan Hutt was on BBC Radio Newcastle this morning to discuss lynx reintroduction in northern England. You can listen to the full interview with Matt Bailey on BBC Sounds, starting just over an hour in.

The Missing Lynx Project is exploring the return of lynx to Britain and will support reintroduction if it can be proven to be practicable, scientifically viable and socially acceptable. That's why we want to hear from you. Tell us your thoughts about lynx and their possible return by taking our UK public survey before August 31st.

Yesterday some of the Young Rewilders were at the Scottish Parliament taking part in the Stand Up for Nature demo organised by Scottish Environment LINK. There was a great showing despite the weather and it was very interesting to hear from the speakers.

On Friday, the young rewilders and some Bright Green Nature ambassadors visited Leadburn community woodland. We had a great time learning about how they are transforming the former forestry site back to a peat bog and enjoyed helping out by removing Sitka spruce seedlings.

For World Rewilding Day, we took a trip to Pitlochry for the first ever Hope for Nature Hustings hosted by the Scottish Rewilding Alliance. It was a great evening where we got to hear from (almost) every political party before the Scottish elections on the 7th May.
