Announcing our chosen charity for this years Aberfeldy Highland Ball which have small wings but a big Impact on our natural environment

Highland Perthshire is home to some of the rarest and most threated butterflies and moths. Species which have declined dramatically elsewhere in the UK but still retain a foothold here.
The charity Butterfly Conservation has been working in Highland Perthshire for a number of years now with landowners to help advise them on managing their land to help these rare species.
as well as leading community outreach and education work such as with Grantully Primary school to raise awareness of these species,

Butterflies and moths are vital components of the ecosystem, acting as key pollinators for flowers and crops, a crucial food source for birds and bats, and indicators of environmental health.
Their presence signifies a healthy, biodiverse environment, as they are highly sensitive to habitat changes and pollution.

Lets this Aberfeldy Highland Ball give them a big helping hand.

Handover today of the money raised at last years Aberfeldy Highland Ball in aid of Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA.
We managed to catch the Pilot ,Crew and Paramedics who explained their operations just before they were called out.

Great news. Thanks to all the dancers, donators and raffle the Aberfeldy Highland Ball have raised £6000 for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA.
Callouts for the helicopter can cost in excess of £3000 on average so thats potentially 2 peoples lives helped in their hour of need.

Thanks to all the likes and shares from our social media posts over the last few weeks..
Next years Aberfeldy Highland Ball will be held on Saturday 5th December and from all of us have a very Happy Christmas and great New Year.
Updates on the amount Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance - SCAA raised will be next February and next years recipient is a Nature conservation charity.
