UPDATE

As we continue progressing through the Feasibility Stage of the Community Asset Transfer for Cloichard Depot, we’re pleased to share that plans for the community eco hub are moving forward.

To keep the community involved and help shape future activities, we’re hosting a series of taster workshops. These sessions are designed to explore what skills and topics are of most interest locally, with a community feedback event planned once this stage is complete.

Thanks to support from the PKC CIF Fund and the Andy Millar Trust, we’re currently offering:

🪑 Chair refurbishment – Sun 10th May, 3–4.30pm (Moulin Hall)
💍 Jewellery repairs – date TBC (tell us what you’d like help with!)
🔧 Household repairs – let us know what skills you want to learn

Plus, kids & youth workshops coming this summer 👀

📣The HEAT Project Scotland is looking for a new team member — an Energy Advisor — to join our team.

Working with the HEAT Project Scotland, part of Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust (BRDT).

We provide impartial home energy advice to households across Perth & Kinross.

▶ Full-time: 35 hours per week

▶ Salary: Based on experience, up to £31,354.

▶ Location:
The post will be located in Blairgowrie & Rattray but is flexible to allow for working from home and to meet project needs.

▶ Closing date: Friday 6 February 2026 at 23:59

We intend to apply for a community asset transfer of Cloichard Depot in Pitlochry.

3. Sprout’s reuse/repair project will build on the work of the Pitlochry Repair Cafe by diverting larger items such as furniture, bikes, white goods and children’s equipment from landfill.

These items can be repaired/repurposed and either reused, leased,
shared or sold on.

2. Why are we doing this?

The environment, saving energy and reducing waste were all highlighted in the Pitlochry Community Action Plan as being important to our community. Having a local Eco Hub would help tackle the climate crisis by addressing these issues.
