Pitlochry Community Action Trust - PCAT

19/10/2026

We’re delighted to announce that Pitlochry Community Action Trust core project Pitlochry Garden Share has been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the Co-op’s Local Community Fund.

We want to grow the garden share by running sessions with local nursery children and school pupils, and by working with local residents to encourage participation in gardening projects and garden sharing - and Co-op members can now choose to support these efforts!

We had a lovely evening at The Enchanted Forest last night – the 2026 show ‘Stop The Clock: The 25th Hour’ is another dazzling display of light, atmospheric sound and dancing fountains – with a wee hint of magic - and is well worth a visit!

Visiting the show also helps to support a range of initiatives as well - proceeds from ticket sales saw The Enchanted Forest donate around £134,000 in 2026 to groups and organisations.

Thank you so much to the Enchanted Forest team for a fantastic experience and also for supporting PCAT and the work that we do in the town!

This year’s show runs until Sunday, 8th November and tickets, while selling quickly, are still available. For more information or to book see the website www.enchantedforest.org.uk

All wheels sports parks provide opportunities for people of all different ages and abilities to participate in sport and to get outdoors, and there is lots of evidence that taking part in outdoor activities can have real, positive benefits for people’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.

***All Wheels Park update***

A community consultation event on the proposed design to extend and improve Pitlochry skatepark into an all wheels park is to take place on Tuesday, October 6, from 4pm to 7pm, at the Recreation Ground.

This is a drop-in event that will provide an opportunity for local residents to get an update on the £200,000 project, see the proposed design for the exciting new facility and share any thoughts on the design.

Specialist contractors Betongpark have been appointed to carry out the detailed design and construction phases of the project, which is being managed on behalf of PCAT and Pitlochry All Wheels by Perth and Kinross Council, and some of the team will be on hand to chat to people about the project and the designs.

Betongpark is recognised as one of Europe’s industry leaders in skatepark design and construction and the team there is very experienced and passionate about the work they do.

This consultation follows on from the community survey carried out last year and attendance by representatives from PAW and PCAT at several community events.

We’re very excited about the design and can’t wait to share it with our community!

HUGE thanks to from , Pitlochry in Bloom and PCAT - and the passers-by who helped out too - during two work parties yesterday and today at the revamped area around the bus stop on Atholl Road in the town centre 🙌🙌🙌

Weeding, litterpicking, retrieving some of the decorative stones from the burn and cutting back vegetation has all helped to tidy up the space ready for visitors to The Enchanted Forest over the next few weeks!
