Help us grow a new garden for Pill ๐Ÿต๏ธ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒผ

We have some exciting news - Pill in Bloom has been given the green light to transform the grass area opposite The Kingโ€™s Head into a beautiful new garden.

To make this a success, we need your help. We are aiming for a wildlife-friendly, drought-resistant, and low-maintenance space that everyone can enjoy. Since we are a volunteer-led group with a small budget, weโ€™re looking for "plant power" and "people power" from our neighbours.

How you can help:
๐ŸŒผ Donate Plants: As youโ€™re tidying your own gardens this season, please think of us if you are splitting perennials, thinning out ornamental grasses, or sowing extra seeds. Every spare seedling helps us turn this patch of grass into a haven for everyone. See the plant inspo below ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐ŸŒผ Lend a Hand: We are planning a big planting day in the next month or so, please watch this space as we would love some volunteers to help us get everything in the ground. No expert knowledge is needed.

Every donation or hour of help makes a huge difference to our village. If you have plants to spare or want to join the planting crew, please drop a comment below, see our website or send us a DM

Choose drought-resistant plants to create a water-wise garden that thrives in dry conditions and supports biodiversity.

Spring is in the air ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒผ

We had a productive morning with Pill in bloom volunteers (and strong friends!) moving planters, topping them up with compost and planting up for spring.

PiB working parties are monthly on the last Sunday of the month. If you're interested in joining us please get in touch. No experience necessary and a fantastic opportunity to get your hands in the soil, do something for your community and meet new people.

PLANTS ON THE MOVE! Ahead of the bus hub work at the precinct, Pill In Bloom volunteers will be moving the five planters so that they can brighten up new locations. If you feel like a January work out we will need to empty the planters before moving them. Work starts at 10am on Sunday 11 January if want to get involved.

The planters will be going to Pump Square against the sea defences, Victoria Park and between the trees on Baltic Place car park. Thanks to North Somerset Council and Alliance Homes for giving the Parish Council permission to use these locations.
