The King's Arms Youth Project

The King's Arms Youth Project Back in 2000, the churches in Petersfield came together to create a safe space for young people to call their own.

Since then, we have evolved to deliver targeted youth work across Petersfield, Alton, and Horndean. We are a non-profit charity, privileged to work alongside dedicated volunteers in nearly all of our sessions. We focus much of our youth work during term time, with our funding primarily supporting young people aged 14–18.

Without our incredible volunteers, the King's Arms wouldn't be what it is today. You bring laughter, wisdom, intentionality, and joy to every session, helping to create a place where young people can feel seen, valued, and supported.

We are so grateful for the time, care, and dedication you give so generously. It is a privilege to serve alongside you as we invest in the lives of our young people. Thank you for all that you do — we truly couldn't do it without you. ❤️

We were delighted to welcome Shine Radio to our Petersfield building for a special interview on The P Pod 🎙️

It was a fantastic opportunity to share more about what we do, the work happening in our community, and the people behind it all.

A big thank you to the team at Petersfield's Shine Radio

You can listen to the interview here:

Julie and Mike meet the volunteers, staff and some of the young people who benefit from this Petersfield-based charity. You'll also learn about the vital role played by young carers and how The King's Arms provides support for them.

Oh my. I don’t know who had more fun - the adults or our incredible SuperSonics legends. Today Petersfield and Alton joined together in archery, climbing, fire starting, s’mores cooking and giant catapult making. We had some incredible successes today and we are so proud 😊 Thank you Avon Tyrrell for being the most wonderful hosts and for making today so special.

SWISHING EVENT OVER AND OUT. Tonight was so much fun. We had: The warmest of welcomes from our young volunteers 🍸🥂☕️🫖 Puddings kindly provided by 🧁🍰 Volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes to gather stock. And a huge well done to our very own Sarah for organising it all!! A successful night of raising awareness for The King’s Arms, having fun and fundraising for our Young Carers Programme
