The Straw has finally broken the camels back, eneough is eneough.

Poaching has become out of control now at our lovely little pond. I passed the pond last night and three cars were parked outside the access gate directly in front of the "NO PARKING" signs which, as advised many tmes previously is just not allowed; total ignorance, so once again Police were called to attend.

I have had reports of people camping there for days on end now and once again total idiots lighting fires. Not only is this totally against our rules it is blatent stupidity in this dry weather.

Reports of Carp illegally being introduced have been confirmed and is still being investigated. Those who have carried this out will be found in the end and will be prosecuted.

So this is it folks take note, during the up and coming Autumn/Winter ALL Common, Mirror, leather Carp, along with any interbreeds and F1's will be removed.

At last, our Close season has ended and today 1st June 2026 marks the start of our new season.

It was fantastic to start the season with numerous Roach, Perch, Bream and Tench. I was hoping to land one of our Crucian, sadly not one came to the net. But small Tench up to 3lb were superb sport on light tackle.

Cannot wait for my next trip.

Just a reminder that our season re-opens 1st June 2026. I cannot wait to cast a line. The Tench and Crucian have been prolific at the start of the year. Good luck to all and tight lines!

Visiting the pond last Friday, I was dissapointingly met with around 10 youths all clearly poaching. Also, a car was parked outside our access gate in front of numerous signs saying NO PARKING!

Non -the-less, speaking to a group of lads they seemed to be catching Rudd. I spoke to them about the introduction of Crucian over the past couple of years and low and behold the rod bent over and he was into one of the prized Crucian. It was a corker! The picture does'nt show it's relative size, but they are definatley growing well.

Also this is the FINAL CALL for memebrship, I will not be posting anymore about this. You have until Thurday 30th April 2026 to join.
