Ryan brought a great message to us this past Sunday, reminding us that Jesus is the Way.
Last night Jesus showed us the way He wants us to love one another, as we looked at John 13 and shared communion together.
The more you look at these verses, the more you realise there is no greater ‘service’ we can offer our fellow man, no greater way we can love them, than to forgive.
This is what Jesus was demonstrating, as a foreshadow of the cross, whereby He would address the issue of our sin through His humble sacrifce. And “He calls us now to follow Him,” - to extend the same forgiveness to one another, and to whosoever.
It’s also the foundation for the ministry of admonishment, where we can counsel an individual and affirm forgiveness of sin, which may have nothing to do with us personally.
All things told, it’s phenomenal, an amazing act, teaching, revelation and calling that’s bestowed upon all who declare; “I have decided to follow Jesus.”
For THIS is our God, the Servant King; going to whatever lengths necessary that we might be free, that we might live.
Amazing love! - Oh what sacrifice!
Will you lay aside your bitterness and pride to follow Him? - Follow His example and obey His command to love one another as He has loved you?
THIS is our sacrifce. This is how we stand out from the crowd that is this world, showing ourselves to be the bride of Christ - by loving unconditionally, pardoning the unpordonable and following our Master ❤️
