🌊 We are pleased to have our Friday night junior sessions making a return this week.

Starting this week at 18:00 allowing youth members to take part in our popular Friday nights! This will be run by qualified club volunteers and will involve a relaxed session with lots of fun and games in the Lido. Once sailors feel ready they can then take a trip out to the bay to join in with the Friday night sailing out there!

The lido sessions are open to any junior club members aged 7-16 who can sail scomfortably across the wind (RYA Stage 1 standard)

As with all club activities there will no additional cost for club members! So join-up here today if you haven’t already ! Only £22 for annual junior membership.

For sailors who need to borrow a boat and other equipment to take part, Oppies, Toppers and all other equipment required is available to hire from Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust on the night for £8. Just bring cash or make a bank transfer to AST. Details on Spond.

In order for this session to run there will be a need for some extra help and volunteers going forwards 🙂 This can be pulling up boats, washing wetsuits, making hot chocolate. All help appreciated!

We have two fully funded spaces left on a block of windsurfing for children and young people on low incomes. At Peterhead. Start date is Thursday 21st May, running until Thursday 2nd July, 5-7pm. We have wetsuits, buoyancy aids and spray tops for participants to wear. For more info, please contact [email protected]

⚓Seafit will be offering FREE BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS in the community during May.

🩺One in three adults have high blood pressure in the UK, but many don’t realise it because it doesn’t necessarily have any symptoms. The good news is there are lots of things you can do to lower it through changes to diet & lifestyle (or by medication if needed). The only way to know is to get it checked.

❤ Live Life Aberdeenshire’s health and wellbeing team are out and about in May offering free blood pressure checks and healthy lifestyle advice as part of Spring Health Watch.

A warm welcome awaits at the Boatshed, High Street, Buchanhaven tomorrow Tuesday 5th May from 11.30 till 1.30. Come and join us for a warm meal and good company. Everyone is welcome.
This will be our last warm space before we break for summer - back in September.

You'll have the chance to donate to future projects and the upkeep of the park 🌳

Ahead of our Community Day tomorrow, we kindly ask the following 😃

🏰 ● Whilst the event is FREE to attend; there is also unlimited bouncy castle and face painting wristbands for £5, as well as bottle stalls and tuck shop. So, please bring CASH 💸

🗳 ● Donations can be made by cash or with our QR code 🌳

🚗 ● To respect our neighbours at Morrisons, we encourage visitors to Victoria Park to leave cars at the Community Centre Car Park. The car park is situated a short distance from Victoria Park.

🗑 ● Please bring a long your own picnic and picnic blanket. Help us keep the park tidy by disposing of rubbish in the bins are provided.

☀️ ● It may not be overly warm tomorrow, but the sun is expected to be out during the event. Bring your sunglasses and sun cream.
