A Huge Thank You to The National Lottery Community Fund

We honestly cannot put into words how grateful we are to The National Lottery Community Fund for awarding £20,000 to Roots & Rise to support enrichment activities for children and young people who are struggling socially, emotionally or simply need somewhere positive and safe to spend their time.

This funding means so much to us because Roots & Rise has been built from a simple belief: young people deserve opportunities, somewhere to belong, and people who believe in them.

We have worked incredibly hard to demonstrate the need for a community hub, our alternative provision, and our Make a Difference (M.A.D.) programme — showing that with the right environment, the right activities and the right people around them, young people can begin to build confidence, develop new skills and make positive choices.

Roots & Rise in Queensgate Peterborough is the perfect place to make this happen.

Alongside our partners, including Top Yard School of Boxing Peterborough we can provide young people with meaningful enrichment, sport, creativity, mentoring and opportunities to discover things they may never have had access to before.

This £20,000 isn't just funding.

It is an investment in young people.
It is an investment in their future.
And, most importantly, it is a belief in them.

We are incredibly proud of how far Roots & Rise and M.A.D. have come, and this award gives us the opportunity to take another huge step forward.

To everyone at The National Lottery Community Fund, thank you for believing in what we are trying to achieve and for recognising the difference that community-led projects can make.

We promise to put this funding to work where it matters most — with our young people.
