We have listened to hundreds of men who have shared their stories of su***de over the years, commented on the posts we share, and had thousands of conversations privately in direct messages.
Although the root causes varied in each of those conversations.
The challenges our men had most in common were the constant feelings of pain, hopelessness despair.
The frustration in the lack of support available, the lack of understanding by others and stigmatising labels and the inaccessibility of male support services.
Su***de is rarely about escaping from responsibilities or purposely leaving others behind, and is more often the last desperate attempt to end extreme pain.
And that's one common ground you all have, those of you who have attempted or those of you who continue to think about su***de.
Unfortunately, there remains a heavy cloak of secrecy, shame and stigma around su***de that often stands between men and recovery.
But shying away from talking about su***de only perpetuates the stigma around
Coming together through su***de conversations really helps other men feel less alone and less likely to go crazy in their thoughts about su***de.
So please fellas, don't go through this on your own.
We're ready when you are.
