Ugadi (Telugu New Year ) celebration would not be complete without Panchagam Shravanam, and EATA will be hosting this event at 🕉️ Bharat Hindu Samaj 🛕 on Thursday, 19th March at 7:00 pm. 🕖

Why we need to listen Panchagam in temples on Ugadi?

Ugadi is Telugu New Year and it's very much our traditional concept to visit the temple on a new year to get the divine blessings.

Panchagam consists of 5 elements; Thidi, Varam, Nakshatra, Yogam and Karana.

We encourage all to attend and gain knowledge of Panchagam, a tool that Hindus use to determine auspicious times for activities in order to achieve success.

The program schedule is as follows:
7.00pm Ganapathi Pooja
7.05pm Panchanga Sravanam
7.30pm Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam
8.00pm Prasadam served with Ugadi Pachadi.

To bring our culture to our door steps we invited *Harikatha thapaswi* Sri Sri Sri Muppavarapu Venkata Simhachala Sastry garu, who is the youngest recipient of Sangeet Natak Academy Award to do *Harikatha Kalakshepam* following kalyanam.
