Peterborough Cat Rescue As a registered charity, we are dedicated to rescuing cats and promoting neutering. Charity Registration Number: 1153044.

We regret we do not have the capacity to respond individiidually to all applications. This is a 100% volunteer run charity, with passionate volunteers with commitments. Peterborough Cat Rescue helps to re-home stray and unwanted cats. We are a self financing group of people who love cats and are concerned about cat welfare. We believe that all cats should be neutered to prevent the widespread number of unwanted animals that find themselves in rescue centres. Meet Iris, our gorgeous, long-haired cuddle enthusiast!

If you're looking for a cat who loves attention, enjoys a good cuddle and never says no to dinner, Iris might just be your girl!

At approximately 1 and a half years old, this beautiful tabby has plenty of love to give. She's affectionate, playful and always happy to receive a fuss. And when she's not busy being adorable, she's usually enjoying her next meal!

Iris is currently in foster care with Isla, where the two enjoy each other's company. She's now looking for a forever home where she'll receive all the love and attention she deserves.

Meet Isla, our petite little sweetheart!

Isla is a gorgeous tabby and white girl, approximately 1 year old, who's ready to find her forever home!

She might take a day or two to decide you're trustworthy, but once you've passed her inspection, you'll be rewarded with plenty of cuddles, purrs and affection!

She's bright, playful and curious, and would love a family who can give her all the love and attention she deserves.

Isla is currently in foster care with Iris, and the two enjoy each other's company, so adopting them together could also be an option!

Meet Zeb & Frenchie: The Dynamic Duo!

Looking for a double dose of feline love?

Zeb and Frenchie are an inseparable pair who sleep together, play together, and balance each other out perfectly!

While Zeb is the brave adventurer, Frenchie is the sweet, gentle soul. Together, they make the ultimate cat combo and are looking for a forever home where they can stay bonded as a pair.

About the Duo

They are best friends who would be best homed together! They both love to play and entertain each other. Playing currently comes above affection, but once they are tuckered out, you can be sure that the requests for affection come!
Both do well with dogs (Zeb chooses high ground to observe, Frenchie stays cool and collected!)

Zeb: "The Fearless Explorer"

Zeb is a confident, agile, and sweet girl who is always eager to explore new surroundings. Nothing phases her! She is sweet, affectionate, bold, and super energetic. Zeb is an incredible climber with amazing balance—watch your banisters, because Zeb loves high places!
Zeb is great with children and dogs. She can be assertive with other cats (and occasionally loves a fun game of chase!)

Frenchie: "The Sweet & Gentle Soul"

Frenchie is the quieter half of the team. She takes a little time to settle in, but once she trusts you, her sweet side comes shining through. Frenchie is a gentle kitten, a bit shy initially, but affectionate, and playful. She enjoys quiet cuddles, playing with Zeb, and getting plenty of fuss once she knows you. Frenchie is open to dogs, but needs a home without toddlers or very young children (she finds 2-year-olds scary!). She can occasionally hiss at new resident cats while finding her feet, so being with just Zeb or in a low-cat environment suits her best.

Unfortunately we are unable to reserve cats for holidays etc.

Please only apply if you are in a position to view & adopt within a week should you be successful and selected for a vetting phone call and able to take the cat(s) home after viewing. We are unable to hold a cat once viewed. Please take the time scales we work within into consideration.

Please ensure EVERYONE in the household is in agreement with adopting a cat prior to submitting an application form.

MEET THE COSMIC BROTHERS: COSMOS & COLE!

Houston, we have a problem... two ridiculously cute house panthers are looking for somewhere to land!

Meet Cosmos and Cole, two 12-week-old brothers who are full of mischief, affection and enough energy to power a small spaceship!

These boys love wrestling, chasing toys and generally causing a little kitten chaos. But their favourite entertainment? Watching the washing machine go round. Yes, really. Who needs Netflix?

When they've finished their adventures, they're more than happy to enjoy some fuss, complete with VERY loud purr engines!

We'd love to see these brothers adopted together where possible, but separate homes will also be considered.

As the boys are too young to be neutered, their adopters must agree to have them neutered when old enough and provide proof to the rescue as part of our proof of neutering scheme.

IMPORTANT: Applicants who have already completed our vetting process will be given priority.

September was another very busy month for our small rescue !
Cats/kittens homed in September 26
Vet bills £24,155.90
Please no one say if we didn't charge so much for our cats we would home more.
I might add the vet bills for all vets used have been paid in full so well done everyone and thank you if you have supported us.

Flea & Worming Treatment Appeal

Peterborough Cat Rescue currently has a large number of cats and kittens in our care, with many more waiting for space to become available.

Our supplies of essential flea and worming treatments are running low, and with a large trapping operation also underway, we expect even more cats and kittens to need treatment very soon.

As a rescue, the treatments we use are obtained directly from our vets, so keeping enough in stock represents a significant ongoing cost.

We’re asking our supporters to help us replenish these essential supplies. Even a £1 donation can make a difference, and when lots of people give a small amount, it quickly adds up.

Every donation to this appeal will help towards the cost of flea and worming treatments for cats and kittens in our care, helping us make sure each one receives the treatment they need.
