Threats to our green space come from the Mayor as well as the city council. Both lack vision when choosing to promote the destruction of green space over the use of redundant urban buildings/land.

People said we were "anti-Posh" or "anti-Tory", we are not, we are anti any concreting over our green space. We will oppose this new vanity project as vigorously as we opposed a new football stadium on our green space. This current cabinet has betrayed us and have thrown down the gauntlet.

The council says it could be built along the city's Embankment and run by national youth charity.

The fight is on. We will oppose Bristow every step of the way with his war on our environment! His ambition to destroy the Embankment will provoke anger and disgust in Peterborough. He knows this issue polarised the city last time it was raised and dividing the city is his aim now!

Finally, a top council spokesman admitting a new stadium doesn't have to be built on the Embankment!

We formed to protect this piece of green space and we still exist, ready to fight like hell should the embankment come under threat again!!!

We are not opposed to Posh or a new stadium, we are opposed to it being built on a publicly-owned green space. Our space!

The local plan consultation has the Embankment field protected as a green space. That is likely to be implemented and will prevent any building at all on that field and will kill off this debate for good! Make sure you have your say in the consultation!
