It's Carers Week!

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
This year, the theme for Carers Week is ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’.
This will highlight the impact carer friendly communities can have in making a real and lasting difference to the lives of carers everywhere. The campaign will be brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations taking action to ensure more communities understand, recognise, and empower carers.

You can find out more in the ‘Building Carer Friendly Communities’ report: https://lnk.ink/BuildingCarerFriendlyCommunitiesReport

There is also information on https://www.carersweek.org/

If you are an unpaid carer and need independent advocacy support, get in touch with us on 01738 587 887, or through our website www.iapk.org.uk

From Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership:

"Take part in the ‘Nurture Inclusive Communities’ survey: https://lnk.ink/WhatMatterstoYouMattersToUs-NurtureInclusiveCommunities

What matters to you matters to us. This week’s priority area is Nurture Inclusive Communities.

We want to understand how people with autism, a learning disability and/or ADHD, and their families and carers experience inclusion and connection in their communities across Perth and Kinross.

Your views will help us learn what supports:
- feeling included and valued in your community
- building connections and relationships
- accessing community activities and opportunities

Please complete the questions that matter most to you. You do not need a formal diagnosis or to be receiving services. For people aged 16+ living in Perth and Kinross
Watch the short video below to find out more.

You can also explore all survey areas here: https://lnk.ink/PKWhatmatterstoyoumatterstous

Together, we can help shape services that support learning and growth, because what matters to you truly matters to us."
