Learning and Engagement at Perth Theatre and Concert Hall offer a variety of arts activities and experiences throughout the year. We love working with anyone and everyone whether that be appearing in a community cast on our stage, participating in one of our drama, music or dance workshops or participating in along term project in a community setting or school. We're looking for new faces to join our Visitor Experience Team to help us provide fantastic customer care. From big gigs to conferences and everything in between, our Visitor Experience Team work hard to make sure you have a great time in our venues.

Are you ready to perform on the big stage?? Sign up for PYT Mainstage via the link below to attend our open day THIS SATURDAY and have your chance to be in a full-scale show, supported by a professional creative and technical team!

PYT Mainstage is an opportunity for young people aged 14 – 19 to take part in a full-scale production on Perth Theatre's main stage. This year's play is Alice by Laura Wade, a modern retelling of Lewis Carroll's classic novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.



Come to our open day from 10:00 – 13:00 on Saturday 22nd August to find out more about the production, meet the creative team, do some scene work, and ask any questions you have about PYT Mainstage.



Auditions take place on Saturday 29th August. If you cannot make the Open Day or audition date but would still like to take part, please indicate this in the form and a member of our team will be in touch to make alternative arrangements. Show rehearsals take place on weekends from September to February.

Are you aged 14 – 19 and love performing? Audition for PYT Mainstage!

PYT Mainstage is an exciting chance for young people to be part of a professional production on Perth Theatre’s main stage, supported by a professional creative team and our in-house technical team! This year’s production is ALICE by Laura Wade, a dark comedic, modern spin on Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

What a day. 💛

Yesterday we welcomed dance artists, musicians and healthcare professionals from across Scotland for Rhythm and Revelry, a very special Dance for Parkinson's celebration. The day began with a brilliant inclusive dance masterclass led by David Leventhal and Lucy Bowen, two of the driving forces behind Dance for Parkinson’s worldwide.

Following this was an afternoon of networking, refreshments, talks and Q&A, before the room went quiet for something really special: the premiere of Spell Body, a new dance film choreographed by Niamh O'Loughlin with Dance for Parkinson's dancers from Perth and Alva. It was truly moving to see the liberating power of dance expressed through the film.

We’re so grateful to David Leventhal, Lucy Bowen and Niamh O’Loughlin for sharing their talents and expertise with us. And to every dancer, teacher and musician who took part – thank you for such a joyful day.
