🌼 Just a reminder that our Wildflower Walk at Taymount Wood takes place this Sunday, from 2–5pm. JoinWSWG and the Perthshire Society of Natural Science for a relaxed afternoon exploring the woodland's wildflowers and pollinators. We love the Denmarkfield Project just down the road from our woods. Here's a lovely free children's event they are running very soon if you're looking for something different to do these holidays.

Next Thursday is their last Rewilding Rangers session of the summer, all about the deer of Denmarkfield - and beyond! They will be exploring the rewilding project to try to catch a glimpse of the resident deer, plus games and making deer art from natural pigments!
The session is aimed at primary school aged children aged 5 to 11. A parent/ carer must stay throughout the whole session. More information and places can be booked at

"Rewilding Denmarkfield has their Summer Open Day on Sunday 21st June! It promises to be an exciting, family friendly day filled with nature, community, and fun!
From chariot racing to a chance to meet the Denmarkfield Bee and a rewilding site tour...there will be so many things to look at, learn about, and get stuck into.
It will run from 11am-3pm and you can drop in at any time.

We’re delighted to be hosting a special early morning birdsong walk at Taymount Wood on Sunday 10 May at 7.30am. Led by the Perthshire Society of Natural Science, this gentle walk is a chance to slow down, listen, and discover the birdlife around us.
