Tay District Salmon Fishing Scotland The River Tay is Scotland’s longest and mightiest river. Its huge catchment covers 10% of the country, straddling its centre from coast to coast.

The Tay Rivers Trust and the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board are two organisations with the common purpose of caring for its fish populations and their environment. Its fame as a salmon river is legendary too. It is here that the British record rod caught salmon, a 64 pounder, was landed by Miss Georgina Ballantine in 1922. But the River Tay needs help. The Board is a statutory organisation wh

ich has been protecting and improving salmon fisheries since 1863. The Trust, with a mission to conserve all fish species and their habitats, is responsible for research, education and public engagement.

📢 2026 Fisheries Levy Invoices – Payment Reminder

The majority of 2026 Fisheries Levy invoices are due for payment on or before 15 June 2026 – just five days to go!

Thank you to all proprietors who have already settled their invoice. Your prompt payment is greatly appreciated and helps support the important work undertaken by the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board to protect, conserve, and manage salmon fisheries throughout the Tay district.

If you have not yet made payment, please ensure this is received by the due date.

Please note that payment of the Fisheries Levy is a statutory requirement. Failure to pay may result in debt recovery action being taken by the Board.

The next Open Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board Meeting will be held in Blairgowrie Town Hall at 7pm on 23 June 2026. The general public are warmly invited to attend and observe the proceedings. Once the meeting has concluded, there will be an opportunity to ask questions or raise points of interest.

The 2026 levy invoices were posted out today to proprietors and should be with you early next week. There is a 30 day response for payment. If you have not received the invoice by the end of next week please contact us at [email protected].

We have been trying to contact the club for over two weeks with no response!
