🎨 Acrylic Painting with Sarah Halliday – On the Mend

Fancy learning a new skill and meeting new people? On the Mend is hosting 4 weeks of acrylic painting, tutored by professional artist Sarah Halliday, on the theme of animals.

CATH Connections

We’re delighted to share that CATH has received funding through the The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland over the next two years to help people across our local community feel more connected and supported.

Through our On the Mend project, local people will be able to take part in friendly Walk n Talks, community wellbeing sessions and creative arts, crafts and upcycling activities, designed to bring people together in welcoming, supportive spaces!

We recently moved out of the Enterprise Hub, and one of the saddest things about it was losing our beautiful remembrance garden, a tribute to those we had lost through CATH's many years.

However, in true CATH spirit, we decided to and , which is exactly what we've done over at our Community Hub! The ever fabulous Jackie recently shared an update, and progress is being made! A wishing well for dreams big and small, and a seating area for some cosy chats or quiet contemplation. This incorporates pieces handcrafted by some of our service users.

📣 CATH FUTURES – NEXT INTAKE STARTS MONDAY 21 SEPTEMBER 2026!

Did you miss our current intake? Don’t worry, our next CATH Futures programme begins on Monday 21 September 2026, and we are now welcoming expressions of interest.

CATH Futures is a supportive four-stage programme designed to help people across Perth and Kinross build confidence, develop practical and employability skills, and take positive steps towards:

✅ Volunteering

✅ Further education or training

✅ Part-time or full-time employment

✅ Greater confidence, independence, and personal wellbeing

Before the programme begins, we will invite you to an informal initial discussion. This gives us the opportunity to get to know you, explain the programme and identify the most suitable stage for your needs and goals.

📰 Coming up for August at On the Mend.
The needle felting has proved extremely popular and is already fully booked. There are still lots of ways to support the project;

♻️ Donate unused fabric and haberdashery.

🛍️Come and shop reuse with us at On the Mend and the CATH Shop.

🧵Join an On the Mend group, we have plenty of availability Wednesday afternoons and for the Saturday Sew-cial.

😀Volunteer some crafty skills to help us run a workshop.

♻️Transform trash to treasure with a cuppa and a blether with On the Mend at the Madoch Centre next Tuesday. We will be making these stunning cards with reuse threads. Come along and give it a go, no crafting skills necessary just an opportunity to try something different in friendly company! The session is completely free and all materials are provided.
