If you have children that were born between 1 March 2018 and 28 February 2019 and are under 18 or you receive a qualifying benefit:

▪️ Universal Credit
▪️ Tax Credits
▪️ Housing Benefit
▪️ Income Support
▪️ Pension Credit
▪️ income-based Jobseekers Allowance
▪️ income-related Employment and Support Allowance

You should be entitled to a one off payment of £294.70 per child from Social Security Scotland through the Best Start Grant School Age Payment.

🔺 You need to apply by the 29th February 2024 🔺

⬛️ You shouldn't need to apply if you already get the Scottish Child Payment - Social Security Scotland should pay you automatically if your child is the right age ⬛️

Enjoy free bus travel in run-up to Christmas! ❄️

Christmas shoppers, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy free travel on all local bus services within Perth and Kinross Council area on the four Saturdays leading up to Christmas!

Instead of paying a fare, you will be able to hop on board buses for journeys wholly made within the Perth and Kinross Council area on December 2, 9, 16 and 23, and travel free of charge. Passengers who have a free U22, 60+ or disabled concessionary bus pass should use their pass as normal to travel.

The participating local bus companies taking part are Stagecoach East Scotland, Docherty's Midland Coaches, Elizabeth Yule Coaches, Sweeney's Garage and Glenfarg Community Transport Group.
