Tulloch's Blooming Lade

Tulloch's Blooming Lade We are a group of local residents who are trying to enhance the area next to the town lade which spans from the A9 to Tulloch Works.

The community of Tulloch is trying to improve the Lade and the surrounding area to achieve its potential of being a wildlife corridor, to be enjoyed by everyone. This page aims to provide support and encouragement to residents who are trying to make a lasting difference to the Lade and allow the residents of Tulloch to take pride in this asset to the community. We also care about Tulloch and will regularly do litter picks around the local area.

What another fantastic turnout for our annual litter pick and community tidy up. It was lovely to see new faces and thanks to all our volunteers, Dave, Janie, Sandy, Brian, Lorraine, Debbie, Rosie, Carol, John, Ian, Adi, Billy, Miranda, Isla, Bobby, Debbie, Isaac, Brian, Lorraine, Liz, Martin, Jemma, Ruby and Miles. Together we collected 30 bags of rubbish and other assorted items that included 3 shopping trolleys, a gas canister, a traffic cone, a push chair, a car exhaust, coffee table and a scooter. Path clearing took place and the difference is incredible. Channels have been dug to stop huge puddles forming on the lade. It’s amazing what can be achieved in 2 hours! Thanks also to the helpful P&K council workers for uplifting the rubbish for us.

Sunday is our annual community litter pick. We look forward to seeing some new faces. Please see our map for the meeting place on Primrose Crescent. There will also be some path clearing along the Lade so do bring a spade if you want to help with this. See you there.

It’s time to get the Lade and the local area looking lovely. It would be nice to have a fabulous turnout for this event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This is a brilliant event to be involved with as we can quickly make a big difference to our community. Meet at the green bridge at the bottom of the hill, down from the school.
