Most of us have been taught to think of a watchman as someone who simply stands guard.
But Ezekiel 33 made me look at it differently.
God didn’t appoint the watchman to control the people, force them to listen, or carry the responsibility for their response. He appointed him to watch, discern, and sound the alarm.
And maybe that is the reminder you need today:
You may not be responsible for how someone responds to the warning God gives through you.
But you are responsible for being awake enough to recognize it and courageous enough to speak. So Don’t abandon your post because people don’t listen.
Stay watchful. Stay prayerful. Stay faithful.
