🚗 Classic Cars Wanted 🚗

We are looking for classic cars to display at our Hill & Moor Family Fun Day on 12th July, 11am–4pm at Lower Moor Field, WR10 2PN.

Come along and showcase your car as part of a fun-filled day for all ages, with stalls, games and activities throughout the afternoon ☀️

📺 Hill & Moor Scarecrow Trail 2026

As we enjoy the summer events season, we're already planning ahead for the cooler months too!

📅 Sunday 20 September | 🕧 From 12:30pm

Join us for a family-friendly village trail full of creativity, fun and friendly competition.

Follow the Hill & Moor Scarecrow Trail around the village, enjoy the displays, and solve the missing word puzzle as you go.

🗺️ Trail maps available from 12:30pm at Hill & Moor Village Hall
💷 £2 per map
🎁 Complete the trail and return your sheet to claim your reward

This year's theme is TV & Film, with a twist – the identity of each scarecrow will be kept secret for visitors to guess along the route.

🏆 Visitors will also have the chance to vote for their favourite scarecrow. The winning creator will earn the honour of having their scarecrow become the official Hill & Moor Bonfire Guy for our Fireworks Night celebrations.

🎭 Want to take part and create a scarecrow?

We'd love to have lots of households involved. Simply display your scarecrow at the front of your property for everyone to enjoy.

☀️ Thank you to everyone who joined us today.

With the hot weather set to continue, we’ll be opening the hall again tomorrow from 10:00am to 3:00pm for anyone who would like a cool place to spend some time.

❄️ Whether you need somewhere to work, a break from the heat, or simply a chance to relax and enjoy some company, you’re very welcome to come along.

☕ Tea and coffee will be available free of charge, and our air-conditioned hall will be open throughout the day.

Please note that we will be closing at 3:00pm to accommodate an existing booking.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow. 💛

☀️ With the hot weather continuing, we’re opening our doors today from 10:00am to 4:00pm for anyone who could do with a cooler place to spend some time.

❄️ We have air conditioning, so you can relax and stay comfortable indoors.

📚 Bring a book, 🎲 a game, or simply come along for a chat and some company.

☕ Tea and coffee will be available free of charge, although we won’t be providing food.

🍪 If anyone would like to donate a packet of biscuits for visitors to enjoy, it would be very much appreciated.

We have had a fantastic response to our Family Fun Day and are really grateful to everyone who has volunteered so far 🙌

We are just looking for a couple more volunteers to help cover the afternoon for a few hours, so that we can make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the day ☀️

Just one week to go until our next Coffee Morning at Hill & Moor Village Hall!

📅 Saturday 27th June
🕙 10:00am – 12:30pm

Where else can you enjoy a decent cuppa and a slice of homemade cake for just £2.50?

Whether you'd like to catch up with friends, meet new faces, or simply enjoy a relaxing morning with tea, coffee and cake, everyone is welcome.

We're also hoping to introduce special guest stalls and local businesses throughout the year, and we're pleased to confirm that this month we'll be joined by New Inn Lane Nurseries, who will be bringing along a selection of plants for sale.

Our Coffee Morning takes place on the last Saturday of every month, and we'd love to see you there.
