It is with the greatest sadness that the Pershore Plum Festival send their love and deepest condolences to Rob and family of our dear friend Kathy Ford who has recently passed away following the most brave and courageous battle.

Kathy was a true friend to us all and a wonderful ambassador for the Plum Festival for many years. Her vision and hard work, with Rob constantly at her side, was the inspiration for the Plum Festival Bike Nite, which has become one of the most popular and successful events of the whole Festival - for that, all the Plum Festival Committee and thousands of people are eternally grateful and our promise to you Kathy is that we will continue to make it successful and thrive in the way you would have wished it to🏍️

You were a joy to be with, always smiling and your friendship and support will be remembered with love and gratitude 💜

Rest in peace now dearest Kathy 🙏

Thank you for the lovely memories - we will never forget you. All our love always 💜💜💜

One of our iconic mascots, Prunella, had a great time yesterday supporting the ‘Plums’ from Pershore Town Football Club in their exciting match against Droitwich Spa! ⚽️

💜 The team’s purple kit is just another example of our wonderful town coming together to celebrate the Plum Festival 💛 In addition to the purple & yellow town flags, incredible Plum Festival-themed shop window displays throughout the town, the purple festoon lights across the High Street and the historic Pershore Abbey being lit up purple to celebrate⛪️✨! It’s so lovely to see how the community comes together 😍

💜💛GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY PLUM FAYRE DAY!💛💜

There’s plenty happening in Pershore today so head down and see what all the fuss is about:

🔔 To celebrate the pinnacle of the Plum Festival, Pershore Abbey and St Andrews bells will ring out at 9:30am and 10:30am. The Plum Posse (with special guest Trevor Harrison, aka Eddie Grundy from The Archers) will gather on the balcony of Claude Choules at 10:30am to officially open proceedings and for the reading of Trevor’s iconic “Ode to the Pershore Plums”.

⛪️Abbey tower tours from 11:30am (booking desk open from 10am).

🪂 Teddy Bear Parachute Drops (inside the Abbey) at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm- last booking will be taken 15 minutes before the flight.

🧸 Teddy Bear Zip Wire (outside the Abbey) at 12:30pm and 2:30pm- last booking will be taken 15 minutes before the flight.

🚗 Classic Cars in Plum Park

🍴 Food Village & Trade Stalls (including NEW FOR 2025 Pershore Plum Festival Merchandise available!)

🎉 Funzone & Family Hub

🎤 Entertainment in the bandstand from The Nightingales (10:30am-11:15), Joe Wheldon (11:30am-12:15pm), Mice in a Matchbox (12:30pm-1:15pm), Make Mine a Double (1:30-2:30), Moondreams (3pm-3:45pm) and Lisa Voleta Band (4:15pm-5pm).

🌿 Cookery & Gardening demonstrations in Plum Park from Josh Egan-Wyre (10:30am), Bob Hares (11:30am), Howard Middleton (12:30pm), Reg Moule (1:30pm) and Felice Tocchini (2:30pm).

🍻 Live music at the Angel Hotel Riverside Gardens, including Mel & Him from 2-4pm.

🎼 Entertainment in the Baptist Church in Plum Market Place from Rob Hillcox (classical guitarist, 10:30am and 1:30pm) and Worcester Male Voice Choir (2:30pm).

🎺 Plus Pershore Brass playing at various town locations throughout the day and appearances from Bulgarian dancing community group Nestinari-Detelina from Worcester, plus Alexander on the violin!

🍵 Refreshments available in Pershore Town Hall (9am-5pm) and St Andrews Parish Centre (from 10am)
