Can multi-club projects be a good thing?

When clubs joined together with the NHS and other community organisations in Cornwall, resulting in hundreds of patients no longer having to travel out of County for treatment, it was a win win!

In this article David Stewart, Rotary Club of Falmouth shares the story of how Rotary clubs from across West Cornwall came together to support the acquisition of a soft tissue surgical robot for 🙌

Today the amazing Dave Foster has embarked upon a 700 mile walk to raise funds for Shelterbox.
Rotarian Dave, supported by his wife Gerry, set off from Lands End today, headed for Berwick at the north eastern corner of England.
Dave, accompanied by John Cleverley (ShelterBox) who also walked today's first stage, stopped off at the Rotary Shop, Penzance to say hello.
If you feel the same way about the hugely important disaster relief work of Shelterbox, click through to Dave's 'ShelterBoots' JustGiving page and please lend your support and encouragement to Dave's endeavour.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 121st Birthday of Rotary International — a movement that transformed friendship into a powerful force for global service.

We put on record our thanks to founder, Paul P. Harris, whose simple yet profound idea in 1905 created a worldwide network of people committed to serving humanity.

What began as a small circle of professionals has grown into a global family united by purpose — promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting education, empowering communities, and taking action where it matters most.

There has been 121 years of friendship, fellowship, integrity, and impact — and we look forward to many more years of creating hope in the world.

Happy 121st Birthday, Rotary!

Penzance Rotary's donation of crocus corms to Newlyn Community Flora Group and to Penzance Community Flora Group this season, has added another early splash of colour to the town's flower beds.
And at the same time, money raised by Rotary Clubs purchasing the corms thelrough the 'purple for polio' initiative, helps to fund Rotary International's worldwide mission to 'End Polio Now'.
Thank you to the wonderful volunteers in both flora groups for accepting and planting our corms.
