We're really looking forward to being at the Royal Cornwall Show next week and delighted to be one of the two 'Charities of the Year'.

We're in a different spot this year - stand 306 by the pavillion, at the members entrance. Please stop by and say hello, it'll be great to see lots of familiar faces, and to meet some new ones too.

Hopefully the temperature will have dropped a little by then!

t has been incredibly hot and the next few days are likely to remain the same with a break at the weekend. For livestock outside in this heat, please make sure they have access to plentiful supplies of clean water, if necessary can that be supplemented with extra water troughs or a bowser. Heat stress can be intense for cattle, and sheep with no shade, perhaps if possible moving livestock to fields where trees offer some shade.
If you have pigs, and they like knocking water troughs over, make sure those water troughs can't be knocked over and water is available 24 hours a day. With pigs it is also essential they have wallow, dig a shallow hole and fill with water, the mud will stop them getting sunburn.

We are delighted to welcome two new trustees to our Board, bringing valuable experience and insight to support our work with Cornwall’s farming community.

James Kittow and Clare Green both bring a strong connection to the sector, alongside expertise in farming, business, and governance. As we continue our work supporting farmers across Cornwall, their knowledge and perspective will be a real asset.

A huge thank you to Trevedra Farm for their incredible support 💚

During a recent staff training day, their team raised £300 for Farm Cornwall (alongside £300 for Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station). It’s a brilliant example of community spirit, while also giving their new staff valuable confidence and experience.

We’ve had a brilliant start to our Farming Grants & Funding 2026 workshop series!

It’s been great to see so many farmers from across Cornwall coming together, with strong attendance at both our Hayle and Blisland sessions and some really positive engagement throughout.

A huge thank you to The Royal Countryside Fund for supporting the programme, as well as Hayle RFC and Blisland Village Hall for hosting us, and Philp's Famous Pasties for providing pasties on both evenings. Thanks also to Claire Hosken photography for joining us at the Hayle session to document the workshop.

We’ve got two more workshops coming up, so there’s still time to get involved.
