The Growing Project Pensilva

The Growing Project Pensilva The Growing Project CIC is a community project based in Pensilva,Cornwall. We have a fantastic team of volunteers, who have made all this possible.

Volunteer run, community project providing fresh produce all year round to the local community whilst providing a space that is beneficial to the community and environment. We own an acre site, abundant with fruit and vegetables which we sell to the local community. We grow a great assortment of plants, and provide a welcoming space for willing volunteers and for anyone who would benefit from the

interaction with growing plants, nature, and being outdoors. We could not do this without you; many many thanks to you all.

Happy new year, I realise our fb has been quiet but lots going on in the background !
Over the winter the majority of beds have been repaired and mulched ready for the spring, paths re-mulched and the cut flower area has been expanded. , we had 2 young people visit on the take your child to work day and they catalogued our seeds , planted broad beans and potted up strawberry runners 🍓
A massive thankyou to our local County Councillor Jim Gale who visited the Wednesday before Christmas on one of the wettest and coldest days of the year with plenty of helpful suggestions and an offer of a £750 grant towards replacing our broken polytunnel cover . The equally wonderful Neil Cloake has donated large quantities of woodchip that have made a huge difference to all our paths and veg beds .
We are currently waiting on a polytunnel quote and then we will be full steam ahead to raise the total amount to repair polytunnel .
As usual any and all volunteers welcome on Monday , Wednesday and Friday mornings term time and any potential board members that could assist with the running of the Project please get in touch ❤️.
