This incredible photo is of my father in the Phillipines at a football match. He is 80 years old. He was sitting on the floor in the stadium with 20 thousand other spectators when they brought him a chair to sit on across the crowd and passed it through the crowd. How nice to see our elderly elevated and cared for.

I came across this wonderful vintage car and wondered if any of our older folk had perhaps driven one? Or does anyone know what it is?Vintage photos are super for reminiscence work with the older person with dementia or memory loss. Helping them to remember fun times in their life and relieve stress or the loneliness they can feel with their condition.

In the background is my dear partner Mark.

A wonderful celebration for Anna Chaplaincy in Natland saw the commissioning of Anna Friends with Doctor Gill Pilling as Anna Chaplain. Gill has been a Doctor for end stage life care and is a dedicated volunteer.
The friends all gathered for a training afternoon with Sam Pester Lead Anna Chaplain last week, to look at ageing and its impact on the older people we work with.

Wonderful news from Cumbria Anna Chaplaincy.
This last year has seen a huge growth in the ministry for older people, with Anna Chaplaincy in Cumbria now having nearly 80 Anna Chaplains, Friends and volunteers across the county.
Our ministry helped nearly 8000 older people who were feeling lonely or vulnerable.

Barrow in Furness, the flagship for ecumenical ministry in Anna Chaplaincy and inter generational ministry, saw young people from the Barrow schools helping to make gift tags for presents for the elderly in care homes and then take them to the residents.
Thank you to all for their dedicated work.
