A lovely trip upto Pooley Bridge and then along to Glenridding was had by members today. We used Fellrunner Village Bus to travel, they are great at accommodating members needs. Much appreciated.The food at The Inn on the lake was tasty. Let’s hope it’s warm enough for an Ice cream next time.

Perfect weather on Monday for a walk along the Keswick-Threkeld trail walk. This is a great flat safe walk for visually impaired and Blind people with support. Plenty of wild life to listen out for and wild garlic to smell.

Fantastic time had by all today. Lovely to get everyone together and share ideas and activities.
Soup, scones and sticky toffee pudding went down a treat. Really looking forward to the next one.

A fantastic guiding session was held this evening at Eden Sight Support. Working together to keep everyone safe.

Another great performance at Theatre by the Lake. Wizard of Oz was enjoyed, as always by all the group. The touch tour gave an amazing insight to our group, who are visually impaired. All the staff and volunteers provide such good and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Booked 4 shows for next year.

Great meeting of the Kirkby Stephen outreach group. Enjoyed some Christmas treats with our Coffee. We got to meet Jean’s new guide dog Nigel, what a lovely dog. Very big but very gentle, definitely going to be a good partnership😀

Two organisations are working with partially sighted and blind people to raise awareness and show they too can get involved with art and sport.
