Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust - Sunbeams is delighted to have an abundance of children’s books available at our book stall which is upstairs in BoothsCountry Cafe Penrith. 🧒 👶 👧 💙🩷🌈

This fantastic collection has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the wonderful schools across Cumbria, where parents and schools have helped give these books a new lease of life. Thank You to all 🙏.

Every book 📕 finds a new reader, every story sparks imagination 💡 💭 , and every little contribution helps Sunbeams continue to provide vital community music therapy. 🎵🎵🎵🎵

So please pop along, the stall is continually updated with new. books and jigsaws.

This Friday at Sunbeams Music Centre, Penrith!

We're so excited to have Dead On 7 and COACHER playing live in our Glassical Hall this Friday 23rd October (a little pre The Gathering Penrith party).

COACHER are a new project built around the songwriting and unmistakable voice of Fiona Clayton. Reuniting four musicians whose friendship and musical history spans nearly two decades, they create emotionally charged folk indie rock—moving from intimate, exposed moments to soaring full-band crescendos. Blending piano, guitars, synths and driving rhythms, Coacher channel the storytelling of Noah Kahan with the energy and scale of Wolf Alice and Kings of Leon.

Dead On 7 are an up-and-coming indie band who've been setting the local scene a light with their energetic set of originals and covers.

Doors open dead on 7pm.

All profits go towards the Community Music Therapy work provided by Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust for people with disabilities and dementia.

A HUGE, HEARTFELT THANK YOU 🙏 to our Annie Mawson's Sunbeams Music Trust - Sunbeams Great North Run 2026 team! 🏃‍♂️ 🏃 🥇

Together, our incredible runners raised a wonderful £2,445 for Sunbeams, while raising vital awareness and taking on this inspirational half marathon challenge in September.

Every step each took, every pound raised and every conversation that took place will enable further vital hours of community music therapy, bringing joy, connection and meaningful impact to the 2,600 disabled and disadvantaged children and adults Sunbeams support every month. 🎵🎵🎵🎵

Each ran with heart💙🩷, raised hope and helped enrich our local community through the 'Power of Music'🎵. We are so grateful to each and everyone !!!

If you are looking for a challenge for 2027 and would like to run for Sunbeams and make a difference within our community we’ll be applying for places again, with charity ballot places expected to be announced in late November. If you’re interested please get in touch with [email protected]

A little colour, a lot of fun, and some fabulous fashion advice is taking place at Sunbeams on Friday 30th October at 1pm! ✨🌈

A huge thank you to Dawn Smart Colour Consultant for bringing us such a fun, entertaining and enlightening afternoon! 🌈

Please gather your friends, family or work colleagues and learn how choosing the right colours can make your natural complexions glow, brighten your look and bring out our best features. Who knew a little colour know-how could make such a difference?

He will detail the organisations work conserving and restoring Big Ben and other landmark projects, as well an insight into the craftsmanship and passion for heritage that has made them one of the most respected names in horological conservation.

Local Community Sunbeams Star John raises £1,180 for Sunbeams!

Penrith’s own, John Rogerson has raised this magnificent donation with brilliant support from his family and friends when he kindly asked for donations for his special 80th Birthday 🎈 🎈🎈. Donations were also kindly given from the Walking Football Community, Cumberland Football Association and everyone who joined his Car Treasure Hunt & Raffle last Sunday.

The treasure hunt finished at Shap Wells Hotel with a delicious carvery and some toe-tapping tunes from local musician Mitchell Hill.
Jules Fundraiser for Sunbeams joined the celebrations at Shap Wells and gave an update to everyone about how John's generosity and that of all who had made a donation would be helping bring tremendous joy and impact to local disabled and disadvantaged children and adults from our community through the creative power of music therapy.🎵🎵🎵

A huge THANK YOU to John and Ann, and everyone who donated, took part, provided raffle prizes or simply cheered them on. 🙌

John's generosity will help bring the 'Power of Music' to communities across Cumbria.🙏
