Our TSF Xmas Raffle is now back! We once again have some amazing prizes….and more are being added every day.

The raffle will be drawn on Saturday 13th December. Tickets cost £5 each. All proceeds will go towards funding our therapy grants in 2026.

Come and join us for a festive Wreath Making evening on Thursday 11th December.

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with long-term or life-limiting conditions? We’re looking for enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to help guide and grow Therapy Stars Foundation — an ambitious local children’s charity based near Wrexham.

We award £500 grants to families in Shropshire, Cheshire, and Mid & North Wales to access therapies such as: 💙 Physiotherapy
🎶 Music Therapy
🐴 Hippotherapy & Equine Therapy
🌊 Hydrotherapy
🗣️ Speech Therapy
🧠 Counselling — and more!

As a Trustee, you’ll:
✅ Attend monthly meetings (virtual or near Penley, Wrexham)
✅ Use your skills in areas like fundraising, events, finance, marketing, health & wellbeing, or lived experience
✅ Help shape the future of our growing charity

COUNSELLING

Counselling offers a safe environment for children to express their feelings and understand what may have caused them to feel this way. Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for the individual to talk. A therapist will help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others. Counselling can take different forms depending on the individual.

What We Do

Therapy Stars Foundation offers awards of £500 to families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid or North Wales for them to access therapy for a child with a long-term or life limiting condition. The grants can also be used for siblings of these children.

Therapy may include more well-known professions such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy, but also those lesser known such as Music Therapy, Hippotherapy & Equine therapy, Hydrotherapy & Aquatic Therapy and counselling for example.

Please note – we are only able to award grants for providers who are qualified and regulated therapists. We do not offer funding for fitness professionals such as personal trainers or strength and conditioning coaches.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapy can help with barriers that effect a person’s emotional, social and physical needs. They use everyday activities, exercises, as well as other therapies. OT can help children play, improve school performance and aid their daily activities. It can boost their self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. From helping develop fine motor skills, improving eye-hand coordination and mastering basic life skills such as washing and getting dressed. They can also assess the individuals needs to be able to access specialist equipment that can help build their independence, such as wheelchairs, splits, bathing equipment and communication.

Applicants can approach ANY therapy provider with recognised qualifications in order to apply for funding. They must be a member of a regulating body such as HCPC, BACP or BPS.

What a year 2024 was! We awarded 16 grants to families.
