We're delighted to share that 5 families have been awarded Therapy Stars Foundation grants so far this year. Every grant represents another child gaining access to specialist therapy and another family receiving support when they need it most.

Our next grant review takes place on 3 September, and applications are now open.

Siblings often experience the journey alongside their brother or sister. They celebrate every milestone, adapt to changing routines, and sometimes make sacrifices that can go unnoticed.

That's why our grants can also be used to support siblings. Because we know that every family is different, and sometimes the right support for one child means supporting those around them too.

Looking after the whole family helps create stronger foundations for everyone.

What can a £500 grant really mean to a family?

It's more than just funding. It could be a block of physiotherapy to build strength and confidence. Speech and language therapy to support communication. Hydrotherapy sessions that make movement feel easier. Or specialist therapy that simply isn't available elsewhere.

Thank you to Provincial Grand Lodge North Wales for their kind donation 🥰

North Wales Freemasons Support the Therapy Stars Foundation.

St Marks Lodge 2423 recently donated £500 to Therapy Stars Foundation. This donation was match funded by the North Wales Freemasons Charity allowing the lodge to donate a total of £1,000.

The Therapy Stars Foundation offers awards of £500 to families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid & North Wales for them to access therapy whilst living with a long-term or life-limiting condition.

Peter Edwards & Ian Battams were delighted to make the donation on behalf of the lodge and its members.

💙 Alex’s story is a powerful reminder of why this support matters.

With funding from Therapy Stars Foundation, Alex was able to access MAES therapy, a specialist approach that helps the brain develop new movement pathways. The funding covered a five-hour therapy block, during which Alex made excellent progress towards taking steps independently.

Each step brings Alex closer to his goal of walking one day.

His family shared:
“[Therapy Stars Foundation] showed real care and interest in how Alex got on with the therapy. Thank you so much for helping my lovely Alex to access the therapy he needs and deserves.”

At Therapy Stars Foundation, we provide grants of up to £500 to families of children living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid or North Wales with long-term and life-limiting conditions, helping them access specialist therapies such as physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and counselling.

We know that behind every application is a family doing everything they can to give their child the best possible opportunities. Our role is to ease some of the financial pressure and provide practical support when it is needed most.
