π¬ FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER
OPENING NIGHT
PENISTONE PARAMOUNT
NANDOR FODOR AND THE TALKING MONGOOSE
Set in 1935, filmed in Yorkshire, and starring Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver and Christopher Lloyd, this wonderfully strange mystery follows paranormal psychologist Dr Nandor Fodor as he investigates a familyβs claim of a talking animal.
But this isnβt just a film screening.
This is your chance to hear from Hollywood director Adam Sigal, who directed the film and is also our Best Picture judge for Pen*stone Film Festival 2026.
The evening also includes an insight into film score music from composer Bill Prokopow.
A perfect opening night for film lovers, creatives, curious locals and anyone who enjoys something a little bit odd.
