Last night was CWO A Mumford last night after 7 years in the Corps, he has been an exceptional cadet, and 2426's first cadet to attend IACE, first Gold leadership, and was our Dacre Sword candidate in which he reached region, this in itself is an incredible achievement. His brassard is adorned with gold badges, which shows how committed he has been to his Sqn, Wing and Corp.
He has been an absolute pleasure to have on Sqn and has been an amazing role model for newer cadets and even slightly older cadets alike. Words cannot express how deeply proud I am of him, with many messages sent to him by WO Burman and Wg Cdr Butler in their absence, safe to say there wasnt a dry eye on final parade. Now as CWO Mumford leaves to go to camp Canada in the next few weeks and then start University in September studying Met police and ultimately joining the police force, the door has been left open for him to join us as staff when he is ready.
Good Luck Aidan from all of us at 2426, we hope you get everything you wish for as you wade through this new chapter of your life. You will be missed.
Also on final parade was our Cadet of the Month, which was awarded to Cdt Schutrups, he has shown how committed he is to his sqn, with his shy demeanor completely smashed when he was at the RFC festival recently and always asking staff if they require any help, not to mention that his uniform is ironed and correctly presented. He has shown that he deserves the award. Well done 👏
