We are so excited for the redevelopment work to start π
The new facilities will not only allow us to train and play safely all year round but it will also provide the community with a much needed Basketball provision, we already know this is going to be a huge hit π
We thank both Lewes District Council & Peacehaven Town Council for their continued support and listening to our concerns about the current facilities
Peacehaven's Centenary Park is set to receive significant upgrades to boost sports and recreational opportunities for local people.
Next year, the current multi-use games area (Muga) at Centenary Park will be transformed into a multi-sports space which will include a new anti-slip surface and new fencing.
A key feature will be a designated community netball court for the growing Peacehaven Netball Club, enabling it to host league matches and training sessions. The area will have improved basketball facilities and provision for both kick-around and five-a-side football.
In addition, a new pump track will be built at Centenary Park next year. Lewes District Council is currently in the tendering process and a consultation on the design of the new track will soon be held with young people and other park users.
