Our purpose is to completely diminish the suffering of the innocent children of Syria and to aid in establishing and building them a safe and secure future. Wipe The Tears (WTT) is a UK registered Non-Governmental charity, founded in 2011 and officially registered in February 2015. We are based in Glasgow, Scotland. The crises in Syria, which has now been on
going for the past 4 years, prompted the need of a charity in Glasgow to help deliver urgent aid across Syrian refugees. WTT is a unique charity in that it focuses its' attention on Syrian children and not only to provide them with short-term aid, but also setting a platform to enable them to build a secure and promising future by instilling life skills within them. Our aims are to:
1. Relieve the poverty faced by displaced children, many of who have become orphaned by arranging orphan sponsorship programmes.
2. To provide educational resources to allow for the advancement of education and social activities in the region by arranging educational workshops on issues faced by displaced children : - r**e, organ trafficking, child labour, drug dealing; and organise sports teams in refugee camps, such as football and chess.
3. Promote the advancement of mental health to help alleviate mental suffering by organising a team of psychologists to aid kids with PTSD via counselling sessions; by holding group workshops encouraging children to talk about their experiences. We are passionately devoted to restoring stability to a war torn country by providing aid and relief as well as being committed to the long term development of building a peaceful community for the children of Syria. We seek to achieve this by implementing our aims and objectives. Email us on [email protected].
