There were high spirts on Thursday night, pre school week holiday excitement, and not just amongst the boys. We had games and an autumn craft with the Anchors and Juniors. Company Section, with the officers, had a contruction and destruction exercise, not sure who enjoyed it most?

The Boys' Brigade was founded on 4th October 1883. To commemorate these 143 years, on Thursday night our Anchors and Juniors learned about the history of the BB, the significant dates, and motto with a word quiz.
Our founder William Alexander Smith sported a very distincitve moustache, so to celebrate him personally, the boys designed and sported their own fancy facial fashions.

On Wednesday night we were honoured to attend a civic reception for the presentation of the King's Badge, the highest award boys can achieve. Delighted to see our Evan attaining this award - we are all so proud of you!

The company session came to a close last night with our Annual Display. A packed programme with marching, drill and that display staple - Port and Starboard - finishing with a bang in the form of a balloon chase game, with audience participation mandatory. Many thanks to our inspecting officer Andrea McIntosh, who bravely 'volunteered' for the balloon bursting game, probably not what she was expecting to do on the night. There were presentations of a Presidents Badge and a Kings Badge, and special long service awards given to officers Jim and Linda. Thanks to Aidan for taking all the photographs, you are are the only person not to appear in any of them, will need to address this. We hope all the boys have a lovely summer and we will post details of when the company starts back.

28/05/2026

Our Annual Display is tonight 28th May, 7pm.
Boys should be at the hall in full uniform at 6.30pm.
We look forward to welcoming family and friends
to this special evening.
