SUPPORTING SCOTTISH FOOTBALL AT THE GRASSROOTS

Charity No. SCO44867

29/09/2026

Scotland are back at Hampden tonight, taking on Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League at 7.45pm.

Every player on that pitch started at a local club, like Banchory Community FC, Milton FC and Cowden in the Community, three of the clubs The Scottish Football Partnership Trust has been proud to support recently.

Good luck, Scotland.

Great to see the girls’ programme at Cowden in the Community continuing to develop, with a new group set to join the current cohort.

Regular sessions like these give young people the chance to get involved in football and, importantly, provide opportunities to keep playing as the programme grows.

We’re pleased that funding from the Scottish Football Partnership Trust has helped Cowden in the Community with the training kit needed to support the programme.

A big thank you to all of the Scotland fans who donated to The Scottish Football Partnership Trust through our recent partnership with the Scottish FA ⚽

Supporters attending Scotland’s matches against Japan and Curacao had the opportunity to make a donation to the Trust when purchasing their tickets.

Every contribution will go towards our Pitching In initiative and help us support grassroots clubs and communities across the country.

Thank you to everyone who donated, and to the Scottish FA for helping make it possible.

The Scottish Football Partnership Trust works with clubs and organisations across the country, providing funding and support to help them improve facilities, access essential equipment and create more opportunities for people to play football.

At West End FC, that support has helped provide much-needed training kits for the club’s U12 girls, ensuring they have the right equipment to continue enjoying and developing in the game.

This is another fantastic example of how investment at grassroots level can make a difference to clubs and their players.

Delighted to see the progress of the new 3G pitch at Banchory Community FC.

3G surfaces provide a range of benefits compared to grass pitches. They’re more durable and easier to maintain, which reduces pressure on staff and means they can be used year-round.

Supporting the installation of modern 3G playing surfaces is a key part of the work we do at The Scottish Football Partnership Trust. To learn more, get in touch or head to our website.
