All the best to Scotland as they take on Morocco in the second game of their World Cup campaign.

It’ll be a tough test, but a crucial point could be enough to see us through to the knockout rounds.

Let’s do this 👊

Many community football clubs across Scotland are struggling to meet the rising demand for women’s and girls’ football.

With a Club Development Grant from The Scottish Football Partnership Trust, clubs can access the funds and support they need to grow and thrive, giving them the chance to improve facilities, offer more sessions and develop women and girls teams.

We're committed to supporting grassroots Scottish football and securing the future of the game we love. If you'd like to get involved, reach out to find out how you can help.

The future of Scottish football starts at the grassroots level.

Creating opportunities for young people to get involved in the game helps develop confidence, friendships and a lifelong connection to sport.

Through our Club Development Grant Scheme, we're helping more young people access football, stay active and enjoy all the benefits that come from participating in community sport.

We were delighted to attend the opening of the new Cruyff Court at Figgate Park, the first in Edinburgh and seventh in Scotland ⚽

We were joined there by Julen Cruyff, grandson of the legendary Johan Cruyff, whose attendance highlighted the continued impact of the Cruyff legacy in bringing communities together through sport.

This free-to-use space will provide local children, young people and the wider community with a place to play, connect and stay active.

We’re proud to have supported the project alongside fantastic partners, including the Cruyff Foundation, Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, Edinburgh City Council and Hibernian Community Foundation.

Helping communities create welcoming spaces where people of all ages can enjoy football and stay active is central to the work we do across Scotland.

Women’s and girls’ football is growing at an incredible rate. Unfortunately, community clubs across Scotland are struggling to cope with the demand. Our Club Development Grants are designed to support clubs and help them upgrade facilities and purchase new equipment, leaving them better placed to meet this demand and provide football opportunities to everyone, regardless of gender, race or social background.

In a life-threatening situation, having a defibrillator nearby can make a huge difference. This is especially crucial in rural communities, where emergency services may take longer to arrive.

At the Scottish Football Partnership Trust, a key part of our mission is delivering and installing defibrillators where they’re needed most. In collaboration with the Kilpatrick Fraser Charitable Trust, we’ve helped equip grassroots football clubs across Scotland with this vital equipment, enhancing both safety and peace of mind within local communities.

Defibrillator installation support is one of the most important jobs we do at The Scottish Football Partnership Trust. Defibrillators, like this one at Arbroath Football Club, can be accessed by staff, players, supporters and the wider public, reinforcing local clubs’ positions as community focal points and offering potentially life-saving medical support.

Football can teach us a wide range of skills. It’s not all about the physicality; it can also help us develop our teamwork and communication abilities. This is particularly important for young people, which is why we are committed to breaking down barriers to access in grassroots football, ensuring everyone has the chance to benefit from the sport, regardless of age, gender, ability or social background.

Our Club Development Grants are designed to give grassroots clubs the support they need to continue providing footballing opportunities for their communities. We were delighted to hear how Cumbernauld Colts Community Football Club used their grant to deliver football sessions at Glencryan ASN School, with further activity planned for the future.
