Good luck to zack an inspirational young man

While delivering Mill Magazines to businesses in Lochwinnoch on Friday, we had the pleasure of meeting this young man, Zack Schmidt, and his dad, Jonatan. 👋

Zack has set himself a 150-mile summer cycling fundraiser to raise money for the 18th Paisley & District (Coats) Scout Group. After saving for months to buy a cracking new bike, he's ready to put it to good use as he takes on this impressive goal throughout the summer holidays. 🚴

The money raised will help support activities, equipment, trips and adventures for the Cubs group. Zack is already 60 miles into his journey, and we wish him every success as he completes the rest of his ride! 🏆

big shout out to the Folk who completed the Big stroll and the Mighty Stride. I hope there wasn't too many blisters on the day. I hope to see all the Medals on Tuesday when the Beavers & Cubs start back. I think we need to order up some extra Hikes Away badges this year.

https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/18thpaisleycoats. This is the link if you want to support "Team Foxbar" members on the group kiltwalk. Most people are doing the wee wander with the Beavers & Cubs, Some hardy souls are doing the Big stroll & the Mighty stride. Who ever you support, lets make sure they know that your with them every step of the way.

We will be walking the Wee Wander on Sunday 26/04 with participating Beavers, Cubs and family members. We also have a group of adults walking the Mighty Stride on the same day. This will help us provide new and exciting opportunities for the kids

The Great chippie challenge.
The Beavers & Cubs took part in a challenge to decide which Chip shop in Paisley cooked up the Best Chips! they selected 10 chip shops to try & on a cold wet March night they wired in, sampling chips. The Winner? Enzo's from Paisley, the runner up was Larco's of Barrhead. An enqueuing Cub asked "If we go to camp can we make chips or do we have to order in"?
