At Jubilee House we have three main areas of focus.
1. Empowerment for all women in the community to live their best lives
3. Holistic services, mental health and wellbeing. We believe that prevention is better than cure and we are working hard to raise awareness and change the face of domestic abuse throughout Scotland.

We had a very special visitor join us today! Our new Volunteer Emotional Support Technician, Milo!

With his wagging tail, calming presence, and expert cuddle skills, he’s been doing a fantastic job boosting morale across the team. Safe to say, he’s made quite the impression!

Milo may only be with us occasionally, but he’s always welcome back!

Thanks for visiting us, Milo! you’ve brightened everyone’s day 💙

On Thursday we had the privilege of taking a group of the women we support to the Women's Library in Glasgow to mark International Women’s Day. We were given a wonderful tour of the building and had the opportunity to learn about the powerful and inspiring work the library has supported over the years.

A special thank you to Syma, who shared some of the incredible projects that have used art to highlight and challenge violence against women. It was a moving and empowering experience for everyone who attended.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to AK Vehicle Rental for their incredible kindness in providing a minibus free of charge for the day. Opportunities like this mean so much to the women we support, and your generosity helped make a special and meaningful day possible. We are truly grateful for your support.

Last week the women were challeneged with a caption competition where they had to caption photos. The staff selflessly provided embarrassing pictures of themselves for this which are now on the garden room wall for everyone and their aunty to see 😅😅.
It was a huge amount of fun and we are looking forward to the next activity on Thursday!

Our first Empowerment Progamme of 2026 kicked off on Tuesday and Thursday with the first session, Dreams and Aspirations. Using gentle reflection and creative activities, this session invites women to reconnect with themselves and explore what they want their world to look like, at their own pace and in their own way.

Our Programme runs for 6 weeks and covers other topics such as effects on health, finances, assertiveness etc.

We were deeply honoured to receive this painting from one of the women we’ve supported.

Jubilee House is more than a service, it is a community of women, built on care, patience and understanding. A place where women are welcomed as they are, where they are encouraged, supported, and held by others who understand. A place where connection gently replaces isolation, and hope can begin to grow again.

This painting captures the heart of that community in a way words often can’t, and we are incredibly grateful to have been trusted with it.

With her permission, we’re sharing her words, which mean more to us than we can say:

“It’s been an honour to paint this piece for Jubilee House, whose patience, understanding and sense of community supported me through a difficult time and gently helped me to find hope again. Thank you!! Helen ###”
