🌿 National Wellness Month: Small Habits, Big Difference 💜
Following on from our post last week, we’ve been thinking about healthy habits.
Not the kind that involve unrealistic routines, strict goals or pushing yourself beyond your limits, but small things that help you prioritise you and your self-care.
As we start looking towards autumn and winter, what healthy habits could you introduce now to support yourself through the months ahead?
Perhaps it’s:
💜 Making time for yourself, even 10 minutes of quiet time can be valuable.
🧘 Finding ways to manage stress, mindfulness, breathing exercises or simply slowing down.
🎨 Doing something creative, without worrying about the finished result.
🌱 Listening to your body, recognising when you need to rest, rather than feeling guilty for doing so.
🗓️ Building gentle routines, habits that are realistic, flexible and work with your body rather than against it.
❤️ Making yourself a priority, because your wellbeing matters too.
Here at FMA UK, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for you to take some time for yourself.
🎨 Art as Therapy with the wonderful Amanda offers a chance to get creative, relax and practise mindfulness in a supportive space.
🧘 Yoga with Richard provides gentle movement and an opportunity to reconnect with your body, with sessions designed to be accessible and adaptable.
💬 Our Online Support Group with Hazel — a welcoming space to connect with others living with fibromyalgia, share experiences, have a chat and remind yourself that you're not alone.
These aren't about being "good" at art, yoga or mindfulness, or having all the answers. They're about giving yourself permission to pause, connect and do something for YOU. 💜
So, as we begin our journey towards autumn and winter, why not choose one small healthy habit to introduce into your routine?
It doesn't have to be big.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
It just has to be something that supports you. 💜
What healthy habit could you start this week? 🌿
