Stepping Stones for Families is a national voluntary organisation, which has been connecting families and young people in Scotland since 1988. Our work today provides support, opportunity and a voice for families and young people living in disadvantaged communities. Partnership is essential to our activities. We work with local councils and other voluntary organisations to provide a range of high

quality childcare, children’s services and family support across Glasgow, South Ayrshire and East Ayrshire. Our services are consistently graded as ‘Very Good’ and ‘Excellent’ by the Care Commission (the highest grades available). We always make the grades we receive known as we are always proud of them and a copy of the Care Commission’s full report can be found at their website.

Our Lunch and Learn Session was a success!

Our team at Carrick Money Advice and Family Centre organised a session that gave people the opportunity to explore how maths plays a role in everyday life.

We all have different ways of engaging with maths, and our experiences with it can vary greatly.

Whether we're managing our money and personal finances or helping our children with schoolwork and exams, maths is part of our daily lives. But do we all feel equally comfortable with it?

Of course not — and that's perfectly okay.

That's why our Lunch and Learn sessions provide a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and explore numeracy together in a supportive environment.

We have many more sessions planned. Are you interested in joining us?

For us, play is much more than a moment of happiness. We see play as a scenario of learning and skill development.
At our Power of Play services, we offer stay-and-play sessions every Monday (Parkhead Hub, 1251 Duke Street, Glasgow G31 5NZ) and Tuesdays (Townhead Village Hall, 60 St Mungo Avenue, Glasgow G40PL).
The rooms are decorated and filled with elements that allow children to engage in creative activities, focusing on curious participation and imaginative engagement.
It is also an opportunity for children to bond with others, exploring their community building connections and responsiveness.
