What an incredible night to mark the final chapter of the Trevor Ward Foundation.

A true celebration with great people and great memories dancing the night away.💃🕺🥳

Thank you to everyone who attended not just on the night, but across all the events and functions over the past 20 years, your support has meant everything. 💙

We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved together as a team. Supporting 12 local clubs junior sections across a variety of sports and helping so many individuals fulfil their sporting potential.🏆

Over the years we have made a real difference, providing financial awards to over 100 children, supporting facilities, coaching and resources across community sport and creating opportunities that would not otherwise have been possible. ✨️

Every contribution mattered and every persons support was valued. 💛

A huge thank you to our trustees and wider team, every single one of you played a part.
From organising dinners, music festivals, golf days and rugby festivals to running barbecues, auctions, raffles, serving teas, refreshments or ice creams, coordinating sponsors, attending presentations, taking minutes, supporting applicants and so much more behind the scenes.🙏

And to the countless volunteers who gave their time so generously at fundraising events across the years, this simply would not have been possible without you. 😊

The Trevor Ward Foundation has always been about the strength of a team of people, coming together, giving their time and energy, supporting each other and doing things the right way.🌟

That is exactly what Trevor believed in.
Team spirit integrity and doing the right thing.

Together we have created something that will last a legacy that will hopefully continue through every club, every coach and every child that we have supported and given an opportunity.

Celebrating Trevor & the Foundation’s Impact

As we reach the end of the Trevor Ward Foundation’s 20-year journey, we want to take a moment to reflect on the life of Trevor Ward and the incredible impact created in his name 💙

Trevor was a much-loved teacher, coach and mentor who believed passionately in fair play, sportsmanship and always doing the right thing. He dedicated his life to giving children opportunities — not just in sport, but in confidence, teamwork and belief in themselves.

Alongside his career in education, Trevor:
🏖 Ran Paignton Playtime, where thousands of children enjoyed positive summer holiday activities
🏉 Co-founded the Paignton Rugby Club junior section with Dave Worth and gave over 20 years coaching and managing junior rugby
🏏 Provided over 25 years of coaching support to the Paignton Cricket Club junior section

The Trevor Ward Foundation was created to continue that legacy, with one clear aim:
to remove financial barriers so every child could fulfil their sporting potential.

Over 20 years, the Foundation has:
⭐️ Contributed to the Trevor Ward Cricket Nets
⭐️ Contributed to Sands road Rugby changing facilities
⭐ Awarded over £60,000 to youth sport
⭐ Supported 100+ children to access opportunities they may otherwise have missed
⭐ Funded 12+ local clubs, strengthening junior sections
⭐ Made yearly contributions to Paignton Cricket & Rugby youth sections, supporting coach training and development

Every penny raised has gone directly back into youth sport — creating opportunities, developing talent, and changing lives.

As the Foundation draws to a close, we are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and deeply grateful to everyone who supported it along the way. Most of all, we are proud of the young people whose lives have been positively shaped by Trevor’s values and the foundations generosity.

Trevor’s legacy lives on — in every child given a chance to play, to grow, and to believe in themselves.

March 2026 marks 20 years since the passing of Trevor Ward and the conclusion of the Trevor Ward Foundation, which has spent two decades removing financial barriers so young people could fulfil their sporting potential.

Over 20 years the Foundation has:
