This years event will take place on Saturday the 11th of August 2019. We are looking for teams of 6-8 people compete, to see if they can be the last people standing on their sand castle as the tide tries to knock them off. The rules are simple:
Team Registration starts at 1pm
At 2pm, the teams will be asked to start building their sandcastle. It needs to be big enough that the entire team can cl
imb onto it. Teams can bring their own (non-mechanical) building tools, but the mound must be made entirely, and only, of sand from Paignton Beach! Spades can also be hired from us on the day. At approximately 3pm (or when the tide is getting close) the call to "climb onto your sandcastle!" will be made and the whole team climbs up on top. If ANY team member falls off their castle, the whole team are eliminated. The winning team will be the last still standing on their castle. Children must be supervised by an adult. There will be cash prizes for the winning teams and all proceeds from this event will go into Paignton regatta fund to pay for future year's events.
