Our dear friend Sue Kitto, co-founder of Thirst Aid (formerly FLEET Fest), sadly passed away in February this year. Without her years of dedication to the festival — and her enthusiastic ale sampling — we would not be where we are today.
Over the years, we shared countless laughs, spills, tastings, and unforgettable memories. Most importantly, through the festival we have met so many wonderful people, all united by one common goal: raising money for local charities.
Sue bravely battled breast cancer and spent many days at the Mount Edgecombe Hospice in St Austell, a place she spoke of with great gratitude and admiration. In her memory, and in recognition of the incredible care and support she received there, a portion of this year’s fundraising will be donated to the hospice on Sue’s behalf.
