πŸ™ Thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund we have been having a very productive 2026!

🌱 This project has helped people connect with and care for nature in the local area.

πŸͺ¨ We have been hosting weekly sessions, workshops and events, and have been teaching Cornish heritage skills including learning about and creating Cornish hedges from locally sourced materials including slate.

🌎 This project is vital to tackling climate change and supporting local communities.

πŸ’š Thanks to funding and thanks to all the volunteers, collaborators and participants for making this happen.

πŸ™‹ We recently finished off the academic year with Bodmin College 6th Form Work Skills students at a celebration event in our 10-Acre Wildflower Meadow.

〓〓 These year-long workshops were supported by 'The Worval Foundation' whose aim is to help young people. This was facilitated through Cornwall Community Foundation.

πŸ’š We provided workshops aimed at helping young people to build their confidence, resilience, and coping strategies through outdoor activities, group workshops and trying new things.

πŸ’¬ Thanks to Ali and the 6th Form staff, all our volunteers, and thanks to all the incredible young people who participated with us this year. Andrew and Grace hosted a lovely day of food, fun and activities.

🌰 Two years ago we received some little Oak Trees from Bolghen Tree Nursery CIC which we planted out in our meadow.

🌳 These are native broad leaved trees from locally collected seed.

〓〓 We're pleased to report that they're doing really well. Thanks to Bolghen Tree Nursery CIC, their volunteers and our volunteers for being part of this positive project.

🌳 The students who regularly worked with us during this last academic year received certificates to recognise their achievements. Thanks very much to Collis Creative for designing them.

πŸ™ We're looking forward to welcoming students old and new in September!

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ Andrew hosted this wonderful event at Trevisker Community Meadow yesterday!

πŸ™ Thanks to everyone involved, including Ross for sorting out the Big Green Egg, Tommy Armstrong, everyone at St Petrocs, Ian, Watee and Fergus and everyone who attended.

🌱 'Pys yn Boden' (Peas in a Pod) is a partnership between St Petrocs and Trevisker Community Meadow, using food growing to empower people experiencing homelessness.

πŸ’š Together, we grow organic food, share simple cooking skills, and build confidence, connection, and self-sufficiency through nature.

β›Ί Events like this are made possible thanks to Cornwall National Landscape and their funding for our 'stretch tent'!

πŸ™‹ This week we had an important visitor!

πŸ¦‹ Grace is from the "Wildflower Collective". They use wildflowers to help pollinators, fight climate change and connect people to nature.

🌼 Wildflower meadows are key to helping nature thrive and to fight against climate change. They can harbour more plant species than tropical rainforests over small areas and capture and store carbon. However, we have lost 97% of our wildflower meadows in living memory.

🐝 Their initiative is to "Create, Collect, Connect" and we're really proud to collaborating on future projects.
