πŸ™‹ It was great spending another productive morning with Bodmin College students again today.

🌳 We planted 150 saplings which have been kindly donated to us by TCV - The Conservation Volunteers.

〓〓 These workshops are supported by 'The Worval Foundation' whose aim is to help young people. This is facilitated through Cornwall Community Foundation.

πŸ’š This project provides workshops aimed at helping young people to build their confidence, resilience, and coping strategies through outdoor activities, group workshops and trying new things.

πŸ“· We also moved lots of things around and still had time for a happy group photo at the end in front of our latest addition!

🌳 Forageable FutureFund are a group of students from Newquay University Centre Cornwall College

🌳 After a visit to Trevisker Community Meadow they decided to create a Crowdfunder campaign to help raise some funds so that we can plant established fruit trees to build a wild community area.

🌳 They've so far raised £251 which is really great. If you'd like to support their initiative you can make a donation here:

🐝 Now is a great time to spot early emerging bumblebees

🐝 Here's one we saw in the sunshine yesterday.

🐝 Buff-tailed bumblebee queens are crucial, hardworking pollinators that single-handedly establish colonies in spring after hibernating alone all winter.

πŸŽ₯This video gives you a feel for how Trevisker Community Meadow developed during 2025.

πŸ“ Including creating an indoor growing space to extend the growing period which also allows us to grow in unstable and unpredictable weather conditions.

🫘 We also created a sheltered outdoor kitchen area which allows us to incorporate food into our workshops.

πŸ™ This project was funded by the Trenouth Solar Farm Community Benefit Fund and facilitated by Cornwall Community Foundation.

πŸ’š Thanks to everyone who volunteers with us, everyone who participated in a workshops and everyone who has helped with achieving so much!

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ And a huge thanks to Andrew for his drive, determination, ambition and ideas to make it all happen.

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ Massive thanks to volunteer Kev for spending the afternoon with us today to put new doors on the polytunnel!

πŸšͺ After recent storms our old doors imploded, so it's good to have these great, stronger and neater doors.

πŸ’š Thanks Kev!

πŸŽ„ We will take your Christmas trees at Trevisker Garden Centre to help us with our conservation work at Trevisker Community Meadow. Here's a picture showing where to leave them please.

πŸŽ„ Over the past years we have planted thousands of saplings here to help restore some of Cornwall’s lost woodland!

πŸŽ„ We now have the huge maintenance task of mulching ALL of our little trees. We will chip all the Christmas trees in preparation, then in May we would like as many hands as possible to help clear the grass and mulch our trees.

πŸŽ„ Thanks Very Mulch!
