Bee Guardian from Beach Guardian
One of the main factors for declining bees is loss of semi-natural habitats: grassland, heath, dunes and and moors.
Bee Guardian is a scheme from Beach Guardian to re-introduce pollinators by re-using pots and bottles that are found on beach cleans.
We have hundreds of plastic bottles and other suitable containers which have been found on beach cleans that we will now re-cycle and re-use as plant pots to grow suitable flowers and trees, from seeds and cuttings, in our Lab as part of our After School Clubs, Educational Workshops and visits from other groups.
We are pleased to be working with a number of organisations to ensure that the correct plants are grown at the correct times and then transferred to the correct locations.
