We did it! After 28 days our Crowdfunder has come to an end, and we have successfully reached our goal :)

Thank you to everyone who has donated, our next steps will be producing supplementary materials for Beach Guardian to use during their educational workshops.

We will also be producing and distributing the rewards that were claimed during our campaign.

🎉 Our Crowdfunder has Ended! 🎉

Over the past month, we've managed to raise an incredible £1,598 to support Beach Guardian. This is absolutely mind-boggling, and we couldn't be more grateful for each and every one of you! 🌊

We are now moving on to our next steps - the group will be producing educational resources to supplement Beach Guardian's workshops, and we will be fulfilling and distributing the crowdfunder rewards that were claimed.

It's going to be a busy couple of weeks - but stay tuned for updates, and thank you's from us!

When doing a beach clean, it's not all doom and gloom!
Did you know that these curious little pouches, often mistaken for seaweed, are actually mermaid's purses/egg cases? 🧜‍♀️🥚 These are the protective homes of baby sharks, skates, and rays before they hatch and venture out into the big blue. 💙 How cool is that? Keep an eye out for these treasures next time you're wandering along the beaches of Cornwall! 🏖️

There are also various resources (such as the Shark Trust) in which you can identify the species, and create a record of your finding. By doing so, you can contribute to a nationwide citizen science database!

A couple of members of the group were fortunate enough to be able to attend Beach Guardian's 'the tales of the cetus' premiere and Q&A last night at Wadebridge cinema! 🎥

Tales of the Cetus is an amazing and inspiring documentary about the impacts of plastic pollution, and the work that Beach Guardian has put into spreading awareness on the issues it causes.

Hearing Emily and Rob talk so passionately about their goals and the great things they have achieved so far is exactly what inspired us to form this group, and crowdfund in support of them.

The sand lizard is one of the UK's rarest reptiles... and they rely heavily on the preservation of unique sand dune habitat for their survival.
This is exactly why we needed to highlight this species and draw it as one of our sticker designs!

The sticker pack is part of our £25 donation reward, along with a leaflet that folds out into an A3 poster (that covers the importance of sand dunes, the species that rely on them, and how you can help!) 🏖
