Feline Tails We are a non profit cat rescue based in Padiham, Lancs, taking in strays and ferals. All UK covered for adoptions.

We are a self funded rescue relying on our supporters and donations for funding. Feline Tails is a cat rescue based in Padiham and covering the majority of Lancashire. The primary function of our rescue is to reduce the number of unwanted cats that are breeding freely in and around Lancashire, bring them back to health, neuter them and rehome them. We offer the following services:

Rescue and rehabilitation of stray or feral cats who will then be microchipped, fleaed, wormed, neutered and rehomed. Cats that do come into our care will have to be signed over to us, unless stated otherwise. We as a rescue offer pick up the pieces and make sure the animals get to see that not all humans are bad and once trust and love is gained we will look at rehoming into a suitable home.

🌟🏆 FELINETAILS FELINE SUPER STAR – JUNE 2026 WINNER 🏆🌟

A huge congratulations to our June 2026 Feline Super Star winner... the magnificent Dexter! 🐾💜

Dexter's story began 13 years ago when his mum, later affectionately named Mamma Puss, was taken in after being abandoned and left to fend for herself. What nobody realised at the time was that she was pregnant!

Just three weeks later, she gave birth to five beautiful kittens, with Dexter proudly arriving first. However, his start in life wasn't easy. He was the smallest and weakest of the litter and often struggled to get enough milk. When Mamma Puss developed mastitis, things became even more difficult, and there were moments when it seemed Dexter might not make it.

Refusing to give up on him, his devoted human Elaine stepped in with kitten formula and hand-fed him between feeds, giving him the extra help he desperately needed. Thanks to her love, dedication, and determination, Dexter pulled through.

Fast forward 13 years and Dexter is now a big, fluffy, cuddly boy who is adored by his family. ❤️

His journey hasn't been without drama either! A few years ago, a frightening encounter with a stray cat sent Dexter running, and he disappeared for five agonising days. His family searched tirelessly, refusing to give up hope until they finally found him and brought him safely home where he belongs.

Today, Dexter spends his days surrounded by love, alongside his mum and siblings, enjoying the safe and happy life every cat deserves.

From the tiny kitten who fought so hard to survive to our June Feline Super Star, Dexter truly is a little miracle and a very special boy. 🌟

Congratulations Dexter! We think you're a superstar too. 🐱👑💜

A charity is an official status that allows an organization to receive certain types of funding and grants from the government or other big bodies.💰

A rescue, like us, is a dedicated group of people saving animals’ lives, but we don’t always have that charity status—and that means it’s harder for us to get the big funding pots. 🐾 LONGER RESIDENTS ADOPTION OFFER 🏡❤️

We have made the difficult decision to reduce the adoption fee for some of our longer-term residents.

For a limited number of selected cats, the adoption fee will now be just £90, which covers their vaccinations and health check.

These cats are no less deserving, no less loving, and no less wonderful than any of our other cats. Sadly, for one reason or another, they have simply been waiting much longer than they should for a family of their own.

Please note that this offer applies only to selected cats and all of our usual adoption procedures and home checks will still apply. (We will post who is eligible for this one time deal shortly)
