Rescue and rehabilitation of stray or feral cats who will then be microchipped, fleaed, wormed, neutered and rehomed. Cats that do come into our care will have to be signed over to us, unless stated otherwise. We as a rescue offer pick up the pieces and make sure the animals get to see that not all humans are bad and once trust and love is gained we will look at rehoming into a suitable home.

🐾 A Special Needs Cat Doesn't Always Need a Special Home ❤️ 🐾

Many people see the words "special needs" and worry they won't be able to provide what's needed.

But the reality is that many special needs cats don't need anything extraordinary. They simply need a loving family willing to care for them, accept them, and treat them like any other beloved pet. 🏡🐱

Rio's family are a perfect example of this. They looked beyond the label and saw a cat deserving of love, and now Rio is thriving in his forever home. ❤️

Sometimes the most special thing a special needs cat needs isn't a special home at all—just a family willing to open their hearts.

🐾 Why We Have a Home Check Process 🏡❤️ 🐾

We know that applying to adopt a cat and then waiting to be contacted, arranging a home check, and going through the adoption process can sometimes feel frustrating or even a little disheartening.

When you've fallen in love with a cat's photos, it's natural to want to bring them home straight away!

But there is a reason we do things the way we do.

At Felinetails, we don't just look for a home — we look for the right home. We take the time to get to know our adopters, understand their lifestyle, and match them with a cat whose personality, needs, and quirks fit their family. It takes a little longer, but the results are worth it.

Rio's new family embraced the process from the very beginning, trusting us to help find the perfect match for their home. And what happened next is exactly why we do what we do...

On his very first day, Rio was eating, using his litter tray, exploring his new surroundings, and wandering around the house as though he'd lived there forever. 🥹❤️

No hiding away for days. No uncertainty. Just a cat who felt safe, comfortable, and completely at home.

Those moments remind us that every application, every conversation, every home check, and every bit of waiting has a purpose. We're not trying to make adoption difficult—we're trying to make it successful.

Because when the right cat meets the right family, magic happens. ✨

We'd love to hear from our adopt@ers too! Did your feline settle in straight away, or did they take a little longer to find their paws? Share your stories and photos in the comments! 📸🐱

We’ve noticed something a little sad lately at Felinetails… 🐾

Cats over the age of 2 often get far less interest than kittens or younger cats, and honestly, we’d love to understand why.

Is it because people worry they won’t bond the same way?
Do people think older cats are less playful?
Or is it simply that kittens steal the spotlight? 👀

So we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts — whether you’ve adopted an older cat before or whether you’d personally choose a kitten instead.

👇 Tell us in the comments:
Would you adopt a cat over 2 years old? Why or why not?

No judgement at all — we’re really interested in hearing different perspectives and starting an open conversation ❤️

🐾 Garnet is looking for his forever home… and he’s full of love ❤️ 🐾
Hi everyone, Garnet here! 🤍🖤
I may be small, but I’ve got a big personality, a playful spirit, and so much affection to give 😏💕
I was born in rescue in June 2025 after my mum Crystal came in pregnant. She was very young herself, so I’ve had a bit of a unique start in life—but I’ve grown into a confident, loving, and sociable boy who adores attention 🥹✨
✨ A little about me: 🐾 Great with other cats
🐾 Happy with dogs
🐾 Suits a home with older children
🐾 Very playful, affectionate, and people-focused
I do sometimes choose soft things like blankets or curtains for the odd wee, although I do use my litter tray properly. With time, patience, and a settled home, this may well improve as I continue to grow in confidence 💛
I’m looking for a calm, understanding home where I can feel safe and really shine ✨
Because underneath it all, I’m a sweet, entertaining little companion who will bring so much joy, cuddles, and personality into the right home 🥰
If you think you could be my person, please get in touch 💌
All adoptions are subject to suitability and home checks 🏡
✨ Don’t shop… adopt ✨
Some cats just need a little extra understanding to thrive 💛

💜 QUARTZ 💜

It’s time for Quartz to start the search for his forever home!

This lovely boy is very social and settles well with dogs, other cats, and children, so he could slot nicely into a family home or multi-pet household.

Quartz does have a bit of a wobble in his back legs from time to time, so he will need an indoor-only home where he can stay safe and supported. It doesn’t hold him back from enjoying life though—he still plays, explores, and gets on with things just like any other cat, just in his own gentle way 🐾

He’s affectionate, easy-going, and has a real sweet nature, and now he’s ready to finally have a home of his own where he can be loved and settled for good.

If Quartz sounds like the one for you, please get in touch 💜

💜 QUARTZ 💜

Quartz is now officially ready to find his forever home!

He’s a super friendly boy who gets along really well with dogs, other cats, and children, so he could happily fit into a family environment.

Quartz is a little wobbly on his legs at times, so he needs an indoor-only home where he can stay safe and comfortable. He can still do everything a normal cat can—he just takes life at his own slightly charming pace 🐾

He’s affectionate, playful, and has a lovely nature, and after everything he’s been through, he’s more than ready to finally have a place to call his own.

If you can offer Quartz the safe, loving home he deserves, please get in touch 💜

✨ Meet Jasmine ✨

Jasmine is a beautiful 7-year-old lady looking for a forever home… and she’d quite like this one to stick, thank you very much 😅💕

Through no fault of her own, Jasmine sadly found herself back in rescue after her previous family had to move. She’s understandably a little unsure right now, so she’ll need a calm, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace 🌸

She’s a shy girl at first, but once she feels safe, Jasmine is incredibly sweet and loving — the kind of cat who makes earning her trust feel extra special 💖

👑 Jasmine’s dream home:
• The only pet (main character energy only please 👸)
• No dogs
• Older, calm children
• Someone patient who’ll let her blossom in her own time

🍽️ Now… we need to discuss Jasmine’s greatest passion in life: food.
This girl acts like she’s never been fed a day in her life 😭 She’ll need smaller meals spaced throughout the day to keep her healthy and stop her from launching a full-scale investigation every time the fridge opens.

Jasmine may not arrive and instantly run the house… but give her time and she’ll quietly steal your heart instead 🥹
