β˜€οΈ Stay Safe in the Heat β˜€οΈ

With Amber Heat-Health Alerts currently in place across parts of the UK, we want to remind everyone to take extra care during this period of extreme weather.

Recent reports have highlighted the increasing pressures this heat is placing on health and emergency services, with record-breaking temperatures affecting communities across the country.

High temperatures can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, and other serious medical emergencies β€” particularly for older adults, young children, and vulnerable people.

Please remember to:
πŸ’§ Stay hydrated
🧴 Wear sunscreen
🧒 Avoid prolonged time in direct sunlight
🏠 Keep cool indoors where possible
❀️ Check in on vulnerable friends, family, and neighbours

We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to all NHS staff, ambulance crews, emergency services, and healthcare professionals working tirelessly throughout this extreme weather to keep people safe and cared for. Your dedication and hard work never go unnoticed.

Please continue to look after yourselves and one another.
